The CoS hike has been rescheduled for Sunday, October 16th: Peter Knapp will lead a hike in an old growth urban woods, the Washington Grove. It’s a 25 acre plot of hardwoods that sits atop Cobb’s Hill near the reservoir. The hiking group will meet in the back of the sanctuary at 12:30 after Coffee & Conversation. An information handout and details will be shared before departing for the hike. It will be a leisurely 45-60 minute walk with some historical narration over moderately easy terrain. Anyone wishing to stay on a level paved path will have that option as well. The walk will include a great view of the city skyline and an up-close look at two abandoned water tanks that now serve as palettes for local graffiti artists.
